They've already landed

The first week isn't scary when you're not alone.

I arrived on a Sunday night, and by Monday, I had my transport pass, a local bank account was already in progress, my SIM was in, and I had the keys to my flat. On my own it would've taken months.

I came from São Paulo without speaking any Spanish. Having someone explain the different neighbourhoods, help me choose the right housing option and finally pick me up at the airport, completely changed the experience.

My parents were calmer than I was. They had a single point of contact for everything and got updates as each step was resolved. Zero stress back home.

Frequently asked questions

What people usually ask us.

When should I start preparing my move?
As soon as possible! The sooner you start, the more time you'll have to explore your options and the better your chances of securing the best accommodation, especially if you need student housing or you're a non-EU student with a visa.
Do you speak my language?
Yes! Thanks to AI-assisted translation, we can communicate with you in any language. Our team natively speaks Spanish, English and French, and accompanies you in person to appointments that require speaking at the counter.
What if I already have a flat?
Perfect. We remove housing from the plan, adjust the price, and focus on everything else: paperwork, bank, insurance, transport and settling in.
Do you work with students from outside the EU?
Yes, of course! We provide remote support before your arrival and in-person, on-site support when you come in person.
Can my parents pay for it?
Of course. We issue the invoice to whoever you indicate and keep the family updated on every step, if you'd prefer.
Who We Are

HOLASTUDENT — Madrid for University Students

Finding student accommodation in Madrid and solving for administrative processes are some of the biggest challenges facing international families today. HOLASTUDENT was created to solve exactly that. We guide families through the entire process — from understanding the market to choosing the right residence — so their son or daughter can start this new chapter on the right foot.

Behind HOLASTUDENT are Mónica, Beatriz and Camille — three professionals with deep roots in Madrid and Madrid's relocation world in particular. Mónica has spent over 15 years as a lawyer and relocation advisor in Madrid, guiding international families through every legal and practical aspect of settling in the city. Her expertise ensures families are never left navigating the system alone. Beatriz has lived as an expat across multiple countries for over 20 years, building a deep expertise in relocation services along the way. She knows firsthand what it takes to uproot a life and rebuild it somewhere new — and she brings that lived experience to every family HOLASTUDENT supports. Camille relocated to Madrid in 2008, coming from Paris and having studied and lived in multiple countries. She is an experienced digital business leader. All three are mothers of university-age children — some studying in Madrid, others abroad — and that personal connection is at the heart of everything they do.
